Hiking in Low Tatras

I am not a big lover of sports but I do love hiking. This year I had occasin to go to Low Tatras for 3 days of hiking.

First we took chair lift and than continued from it to the right and than down and back to the place, where we were acomodated. First part of a hiking was fine but than to get dowt to the valey... Oh my god! that was something. I even had painful arm muscles next day, which is not so usual while hiking, you can imagine. But that way down was so terrible that we used our arms to hold any tree or rock to make our degression more safe:o) But we maged and in the evening came exhosted but satisfied to our hostel.

The next day we climbed the highest peak "Dumbier". That was much better way, full of blueberries;o)

And the third day we chose even more comfortable way and much shorter, through memorial cemetry of those who died in Low Tatras. (people are not really burried there, they just have there a boerd with their name and date of dead, possibly exact place of death and cause of death...). Quite sad, but it is good to remind how dangerous mountain can be. People should not underestimate... And than we still had time so we went to see a mountain lake and an ice cave, which was amazing, and cold;o)

Hunting in woods

First I relaxed at home. Mostly with TV. Not that I would not have any better idea what to do, just that I needed to switch off my brain and clean it a bit:o) But that cleaning after few days became pretty boring so I needed to change way of relaxing;o) And so I agreed when my dad offered me to go hunting with him in woods.

Great idea I thought. Green forest, no TV, no people, being out of town in nature... Sounds perfect:o)

So we went. First problem: My sporty clothes is dark blue and red:o) Perfect for hiking, not so much for hunting. So I found at home some green cap and borrowed some green jacket from dad´s wardrobe and decided that it must be enough:o)

Problem No2: I am a town girl. You know town bring some advantages too. For example no moskitos. On the contrary forests and meadows are quite full of moskitos especially if the hut, where you are sleeping is nex to a little pond;o) So first, a way to a drugstore for a spray against moskitos:o) Best investition of all the trip;o)

And finally we could go hunting:o)... Well hunting...:o) That means go to deer-stand at about 7p.m., left at about 10p.m. go to sleep for few hours and get up still darklings to be at the deer-stand before dawn to wait for coming deer... And still, after two days of this "hunting" we did not even shoot a bulet;o) But, we saw a lot of beautiful pieces of deer, which we "of course not to be shot to death, because they were ment to keep a genetic fund";o) And during a day we were building a feeding places for deer, because licenced hunters are not only supposed to hunt but most of all to take care about animals in forest...:o)

So that was our hunting:o) But as a relax it was great:o) ;o)

And after this all I was really relaxed with clean head and looking forward to start studying;o)
